Joy Committee

 The J.O.Y. Committee is dedicated to the “Just Older Youth” of our parish.
We aim to enhance the lives of our seniors spiritually, intellectually, nutritionally, and socially.

We hold a monthly Senior Luncheon, which is open to seniors in our parish as well as our local community.  Our Knights of Columbus prepare a well-balanced and always tasty meal. Before the meal, a nurse is available in the hall for free blood pressure screenings.

          The lunch itself is then followed by a speaker or other activity. We have had doctors and other health professionals, prayer services, lawyers, gardeners, dancers, musicians, fire and police staff, and many other visitors and activities.

We do request that our luncheon guests bring canned goods for our food bank.
Donations are given to parish families in need.

If you are a senior in our parish community or know someone who is, you know that there is a committee who has your interests at heart. This committee is open to ideas and suggestions.
Our committee meets about four times a year to discuss future activities and aspects of our program that may need to be improved. We also share ideas about activities or programs that should be added.

Love: The One Creative Force

Spread love everwhere you go:
first of all in your own house.
Give love to your children,
to your wife or husband,
to a next door neighbor...
Let no one ever come to you
without leaving better and happier.
Bee the living expression of God's kindness;
kindness in your face, kindness in your smile,
kindness in your warm greeting.
